happy living

, , , , ,

today, I was at work, blow drying one of my clients hair as per usual and in walks my father. now, I was a tad concerned because at this current point of time my grandfather is in hospital and he ain’t doing too well, so, I naturally, was expecting bad news.

he hands me a bag and says,
“I bought you a present.”

I love presents.

let’s be honest. everyone does.

I open up my present and there is a brand new, shiny, clean, untouched, glistening, iPad mini.

I was very excited. (as you can imagine)

so I’m at home now, about to play yet another round of candy crush. on my brand new iPad. (gah!)

I love presents. especially when they are deserved.

hashtag life

, , ,

hmm. to tell you the truth, today was pretty damn hard.

I have been staring at my phone screen for almost a full episode or ‘angry boys’ and I’m struggling to find the words to describe how crappy today was.

don’t get me wrong, I love my job !! but, sometimes everything is all too much. I guess that is my anxiety. I’m not sure.

ah well. what can you do.

maybe ‘angry boys’ will get a giggle out of me, and if it doesn’t…..

there’s always ‘summer heights high’.

city rail

, , , ,

so, Sydney City rail has it’s ups and downs (mostly downs, let’s be real here.) but this morning I have come across a positive; the beautiful lady who sat beside me.

I’m currently on my way to a hairdressing, fundamental colour course, which, of course, I was given one day notice for. and I will be the first to admit that when it comes to public transport, my knowledge is limited… so, I kindly asked the lady beside me for her help.

“does this train take me directly to town hall, or do I have to swap at central?”

and instead of the usual ‘ignore her until she stops speaking’ that I usually get, she responded with a:
” oh hello! no love, it’s a direct train. I’m going there too, just follow me.”

I was slightly taken aback. it was rather refreshing to have a person act so polite in such a common situation, and the fact that I was so shocked is kind of sad really.

first things first

, , ,

so, I thought that it would be nothing but appropriate to have my first entry to my blog about myself (:
I have only recently decided that it would be beneficial to myself to express myself through the use of blogging and other creative outlets that allow ones mind to wonder without the hassle of actually meeting and speaking with someone.

as you have probably guessed, meeting people is not exactly my favourite past time. I find it very difficult in fact. BUT I won’t let that stop me here (:

as i type on my phone to you people, I am currently waiting in a warm, sun filled car for my other half to finish having paper work signed. it’s very hard to understand how his mind works at times..
why he doesn’t have this done on any other day rather than Sunday, is beyond me. but, I shouldn’t complain (:
oh, by the way, his name is Ethan, and he is a doll if I do say so myself. Always smiling and he radiates light.

so, this blog will basically be a summary of me. things I enjoy, things that capture me, things that make me smile, and things that make me frown. Basically, an insight into my confusing, deep brain that is constantly on it’s intense track.
